miniJTAG2 is an AVR JTAG emulator compatible with JTAGICE mkII.
Although compact size and lower price, it can run 4 times faster than mkII. Therefore the production and development time can dramatically be shorten. miniJTAG2 is a required product for all AVR developers and companies.

Performance Comparision

The test results show that miniJTAG2 is 4 times faster than JTAGICE mkII. The test done with ATmega2560, measures 256KB data writing time for JTAG and ISP mode each. The results can be varied depend on your computer chipsets.

There exists waiting time for flash write operation while flash page is fully programmed, so the difference is not as 4 times. The no waiting verify operation would be the correct comparison, that showing over 4 times faster action.
